Bayern 2-3 PSG: Neymar’s amazing events appear

Neymar returned to his best in Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-2 away win against Bayern Munich.

After injury problems this season and an unnecessary red card in Lille’s 1-0 defeat last weekend, the Brazilian was bound to deliver in the Champions League.

He did just that, providing assists for PSG’s first two goals on Wednesday night, and the second of them was an absolute peach to add to Marquinhos ’path.

Neymar’s long-range effort with a ‘weaker’ left foot completely fooled Bayern’s defense and all Marquinhos had to do was control the ball and beat Manuel Neuer – which he did resolutely.

It was one of the many moments of Neymar’s spell during the game, and Hansi Flick’s defense failed to keep the Brazilian superstar, especially on the counter.

All of Neymar’s brilliance is thankfully composed into one convenient video, and below you can watch footage of the 29-year-old’s masterclass.

When Neymar is at his best, he is absolutely happy to watch it.

Even Bayern legend Bastian Schweinsteiger was dumbfounded on Wednesday by the genius of the former Barcelona man at the Allianz Arena.

The German tweeted from his official account: “99 out of 100 players would return to the goalkeeper @neymarjr. One of the best assists, I’ve seen for a long time !!!! With a weaker than his two legs …”

Neymar’s two assists against Bayern mean he has now contributed 67 goals (41G, 26A) in his 66 appearances in the Champions League.

It is a record befitting the legendary pair of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Although, Neymar actually outperforms both players when it comes to assists on European duties in recent times.

Since making his Champions League debut during the 2013/14 season, Neymar has helped 25 goals, more than any other player according to the always reliable Opta.

The guy really succeeds on the big stage and it’s a real shame that his injuries have taken a toll on him in recent years.

But if Neymar can stay in form until the end of the 2020/21 season, PSG Maurizio Pochettino will be incredibly hard to stop.

Especially with Kylian Mbappe who ravaged along with his Brazilian teammate …
