Ashanti is giving fans news about her health after announcing that she was positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.
Singer “Rock With U (Awww Baby)” opened Instagram on Thursday (December 24th) to thank her fans for their prayers. “Hey, everyone. I just wanted to thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, ”she wrote a photo of herself smiling. “I have received so many calls, text messages, emails and DMs checking on me and my family and I am extremely grateful for that. I feel so much better. ”
She also shared news about her parents, who were also ill.
She continued, “Thank God my mom got out of the hospital and Dad is fine. Needless to say, this will be a completely different Christmas … but still filled with gratitude and love. Thanks Bink for leaving the herbal teas. Merry Christmas. “
The day Ashanti was supposed to fight Keyshi Cola in the Battle of Verzuz, she announced that she had contracted Coronavirus. “Hey, everyone. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I tested positive for COVID-19, “the former singer of Murder Inc. posted on Instagram on December 12.” I’m fine and nothing hurts. I actually have to make Verzuz out of the house … we’re trying to figure it out. “
Fans were disappointed with the news, but the battle was eventually postponed to Saturday, January 9, according to official orders from Verzuz on social media. After announcing the postponement of the battle, they warned viewers to take the pandemic seriously. “We apologize to our amazing audience!” Verzuz wrote. “Recover soon, Ashanti. Wear a mask, stay inside and take COVID-19 seriously. It really affects our community. ”
We continue to wish Ashanti and her family a speedy recovery. Check out her post below.
