Apple on Wednesday unveiled an updated Find My app that allows independent products to take advantage of Apple’s Find My network discovery capabilities.
“We are now bringing powerful Find My … opportunities to more people with the Find My network accessory program,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
New products that work with the Find My app from Belkin, Chipolo and VanMoof will be available early next week, the announcement said.
Apple also announces draft specifications for chip makers to be released later this spring. This will allow independent device manufacturers to take advantage of Ultra-Wideband technology on Apple devices equipped with U1, the company said.
