(Pocket-lint) – Amazon is updating its Luna cloud gaming platform with a new feature that limits your resolution.
Basically, Amazon now offers the option to limit your resolution to 720p. The point of this is to improve stability if you use Luna on a slow or poor internet connection. Before that, Luna would only stream at 1080p, although Amazon said 4K streaming comes down the price. Luna has not yet been released to the public, so it is currently only available to those who access the early beta version.
Internet connections often cannot withstand the high demands of cloud games, even at 1080p. Delays, delays and sound problems can result for you in this situation. To prevent this from happening while using Luna, simply turn on the new 720p streaming mode in the settings.
This should drastically help with performance. Amazon told the media that this is one of the most sought-after features of the Moon – the ability to play at lower resolutions to match slow or poor internet connection speeds and bandwidth requirements. Enabling the new 720p option allows for reduced bandwidth and data usage. It can also help those who have home internet data.
