The man, Sunday Amaeful, was arrested by people from the Lagos State Police Command for the alleged murder of a Chibuike Nwanne with a broken bottle in the Mafoluku area of ​​Oshodi.

PUNCH Metro realized that Nwanne and his wife had returned home from a party when there was an argument between him and Amaeful’s brother Ifeanyi Emmanuel.

The argument was said to have escalated into a fight, and in the process Amaeful allegedly allegedly attacked the 43-year-old.

State Police Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi said on Tuesday that Nwanne was survived by his pregnant wife, adding that the suspects and deceased neighbors.

He said, “Police operatives affiliated to the Makinda department, Lagos State, on Monday, February 22, 2021, at around 12:30 p.m., arrested Amaeful, 53, one Sunday for killing one Chibuike Nwanne, 43, with a knife.

“The investigation revealed that the deceased had an argument with the suspect’s brother, a neighbor, Ifeanyi Emmanuel, before the suspect killed him with a bottle in their house. The deceased, who got married last year, is survived by his pregnant wife. “

In another incident, Adejobi said two suspected armed robbers were arrested for possession of a firearm in the Alakar state area.

PPRO stated, “Division police officer Alakara and his men, while on patrol, intercepted two men on a motorcycle. During the search, two completely new Beretta pistols with three shell casings and 22 pieces of live ammunition were found from them.

“The names of the suspects are: Mojeed Satan, 28 and Kudaisi Ajetumobi, 26. The suspects could not give a satisfactory explanation about their means of subsistence.
