10 games coming to Apple Arcade soon

Apple Arcade has a game for almost everything.

Almost every week, Apple’s impressive mobile gaming service in five months, Apple Arcade, publishes and announces new games and updates older titles. Players can play almost 150 games on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

While there’s always something new to check out at the service, we’re still waiting for a handful of games teased at launch, including Fantasian, the game of Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, or Proxie, Sims creator Will Wright.

Here’s every game we’re still waiting for to arrive at Apple Arcade.

Artificial escape

Developer: Annapurna Interactive

The Artful Escape is about the teenage miracle of guitarist Francis Vendetti. On the night of his first performance, Francis is in a psychedelic quest for self-discovery. Along the way, he struggles with dead folk legends and, sometimes, with his own imagination.

Artful Escape was first announced at E3 2017, and was listed on the Apple Arcade list last year. The X019 trailer promises a colorful, neon, musical side slider.

Cozy Grove

Developer: Spry Fox

Cozy Grove is an Animal Crossing-style life simulation game in which you take on the role of a ghost scout on a haunted island. Explore the forest of the island and try to help the sad forest spirits. The more you help, the more the island heals – the environment gets colored, the flowers grow and even more. Along the way, you’ll meet more ghosts with their unique stories. To restore a pleasant grove, you will need to collect items, crafts and fish.

Enter the construction

Developer: Directive games

Details about Enter the Construct were thin on the ground, except that they were expected to be available at the launch of Apple Arcade. At the time, pictures and videos depicted the game as a first-person sci-fi shooter. Since then, there has been little or no data on Enter the Construct, so it is possible that it was taken under a new name or canceled. Directive Games did not respond to a request for comment, but we will update if we hear anything.

Developer: Mistwalker

Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, the brain behind several RPGs, including Final Fantasy, posts updates on the upcoming JRPG game pretty regularly on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. If you’re excited about Fantasy, you can scroll through Sakaguchi’s social media and look at the concept of the art of the game and its handmade dioramas while they are being built. Developer Mistwalker has set designs from New Town En, Magitech Factory from Machine City, Secret Base and Water City of Vence from the game.

Sakaguchi recently tweeted new screenshots saying that the game is coming out soon. The Kotaku games page speculates that this means we could see the game this year.

Developers: Crazy about pandas

HitchHiker / Screenshot Shelby Brown / CNET

HitchHiker is a mysterious puzzle game in which you play as a stopper who remembers nothing about his identity, past or destination. You’ll travel with five different drivers and make decisions in conversations that can help you remember your dark secrets. Solve environmental puzzles, keep track of clues everywhere, and make alliances – but keep in mind that nothing is as it seems.

Developers: Will Wright and Gallium Artists

Team Proxi / Twitter

Proxi is an AI simulation game from The Sims creator Will Wright. The game is built from player memories, using them as building blocks in the 3D world. Instead of creating a city or a house, as a player would do in The Sims, Proxi models the brain. According to the website, you can store memories and millions of interconnected concepts.

Sp! Ng

Developer: SMG Studio

From the studio that brought you No Way Home, another favorite Apple Arcade, Sp! Ng is a physics-based game where you have to guide a space ball to collect gems – just avoid hitting the walls. Using one-touch controls, maneuver the ball over more than 150 levels with daily challenges and over 50 unlock characters.

Survival Z

Developer: Ember Entertainment

Can you survive after a deadly zombie attack? Survival Z has 50 levels with constantly changing routes, making it infinitely repeatable. Set traps and set up obstacles to slow down the undead horde. Level up and upgrade your character’s gear to have a better chance during the apocalypse. Find and join the other survivors to stay one step ahead.

Ultimate Rivals: Court

Developer: Bit Fry

This is a sequel to last year’s basketball Ultimate Rivals: Skating Rink, which was a three-on-three ice hockey hyper-hockey game in which you played like real stars from all kinds of sports – with extra superpowers. Future replays of the game could lead Apple, baseball or soccer to Apple Arcade.

Developer: Aquiris

When Wonderbox, formerly the Box Project, was announced for Apple Arcade, not much detail was available other than a photo of the cardboard box. Now the action-adventure game is coming out soon, it has an official name and it looks like fun for the whole family.
